India Under Lockdown

I just had a good talk with Devina, Pranjalʻs wife, as she filled me in on the latest news of Pranjal, herself, Bobby, Joshua and Disciple Makers India.  India is in full lockdown where strict laws are enforced.  Should anyone choose to not abide by the new stay-at-home laws they are likely to be beaten.

Food and household items are obtainable, but they can only get basic items such as rice, flour, other basic products.  All public transportation has ceased because the Corona virus has hit them substantially where they are; but, fortunately, they live just a short distance from a small market, so she isnʻt too concerned about her market days right now.

Bobbyʻs school was on hold for three weeks but has just started again where they are studying remotely.  As a result, Devina is now busy homeschooling (alongside Bobbyʻs school) and taking care of little Joshua.

I asked how Pranjal is doing now that he canʻt go out and disciple and Devina says he hasnʻt slowed down at all.  When I called at 7:30 a.m. (their time) Pranjal was already on the phone in “discipleship mode” (see photo of Pranjal with phone and Bible in hand). She says that he makes calls all throughout the day to keep in touch with his people to encourage, teach and inspire them to keep in the scriptures.

Please keep Pranjal, his family and Disciple Makers India in your prayers.

Aloha, Lori Dill
