Answered Prayer

Pranjal recently flew back to his hometown during lockdown (he was very thankful to the Lord for traveling mercies) to visit his mother in ICU who was experiencing pain from a minor surgery infection. His family prayed continuously for his mother’s healing, other patients and the doctors during the pandemic. After three hours Pranjalʻs mother proclaimed, “My pain is gone! I know the Lord has heard my prayers!” She has since been completely pain-free and off all medication. Pranjal says that they live their lives by faith, so they trust Him for everything.

In the Fall of 2016 I went on a mission trip to India.  It was a trip that will stay will me for the rest of my life, mostly because of what I saw God doing through one man, Pranjal. Pranjal is a man with one mission in life — to free his enslaved people from the bonds of Hinduism through the saving power of Jesus Christ.

Iʻve never seen anyone with such intent and determination as God used him to stir the hearts of the villagers with singing, testimonies of Jesus Christ, foot washings and fellowship.  I donʻt use the word “anointing” very lightly, but Pranjal is truly anointed.  I left India feeling that, whatever he was a part of, I also wanted to take part in, as I knew that God would do great and miraculous things through him.  Disciple Makers India is a way that I can promote and support what Pranjal is doing from my own hometown on the island of Kaua`i.

It is my dream to travel back to India again someday to, once again, witness first hand the work that God is doing in and through Pranjal Torde! May God continue to increase his territory!

I had the honor to serve with Pranjal in New Delhi a couple years ago. The act of washing the feet of the lower caste in India was so moving for me, as it empowered their worth with the love of Jesus Christ. Pranjal in action as a disciple maker was an amazing force to witness in person. The fields are ripe in India and Pranjal is racing to the harvest with his heart wide open to what God directs him to.

We were wintering in Kauai in 2018 and introduced to Pranjal by Teddi Eggo.  Teddi had made many mission trips to India and brought Pranjal to Kauai for rest.  We found a gentle and humble man very in love with Jesus whose testimony of salvation was the most amazing we’d ever heard.  Both my wife and I retired from business in 2000 and later built eGiving Ministries to help para-church organizations benefit from online and recurring giving. We always looked for the “anointing” in those called to grow the Kingdom and Pranjal truly has that apostolic calling to create disciples.

He was profoundly baptized in the Holy Spirit as we were honored to pray with him.  So much so, he spent the next three days neither eating nor drinking but praying in his new language and leading his Indian disciple team in the baptism over the phone!  He returned to India rested, refreshed and in the power of the Holy Spirit and continues the work God has called him to.

We have worked with hundreds of leaders with wonderful ministries but have never seen something so right out of the Book of Acts.  It is a privilege to support Pranjal and his team’s sacrifices to bring thousands of precious Indian lower caste to Jesus.
