  • One Sunday in February Pranjal and his wife, Vini, brought four nursing students to a local church. They prayed and worshipped together.  Later, they hosted ten other students in their home and had a church service together.

  • Pranjal has ordered more Bibles in Hindi because more and more people are requesting it in his area.   A friend from New Dehli connected him with the Gideon Project so someone is paying for Bibles! This is, yet, another answer to prayer!

  • Pranjal has been spending more intense time in the scriptures in February and John 15:4 & 5 has been heavy on his heart: “Remain in me, as I also remain in you…apart from me you can do nothing.”  This has been an encouragement to Pranjal because, as difficult as his ministry is, he knows that this ministry is all in God’s power and time.

  • The enemy continues to put pressure on Christians by instilling fear among Believers via social media platforms.  DMI prayed against the lies and fear and fifteen people had their platforms taken down.  Praise God!

  • Covid fear has also lessened lately as cases have gone down considerably and the virus has been downgraded to a flu. As a result, the lockdowns are mostly over.

  • Pranjal and Vini are thinking about fostering a teenage girl who lost her mother and father.  They plan to ask her to stay with them for four or five days to test it out.  If they feel that God is calling them to do this they will take her in permanently and raise her as their own.  Please keep this young girl in your prayers.

World Partners Meeting

In February, DMI Kauai had the opportunity to meet with Shaun Futch, David Mann and Joe Johns, from World Partners.  The focus of our meeting was to discuss a plan to help Pranjal help local villagers create sustainable businesses. These businesses would help the villagers support DMI locally, leaving the Kauai team to help fund special projects via World Partners.  We discussed the model for creating such a business with Pranjal so he is now prayerfully seeking God’s guidance as to what business would thrive best in his area (most likely something agriculturally based).  Another option is to partner with Creative Women of the World (https://www.gocwow.org).  Please keep this in your prayers!

  • We are truly grateful because God has provided (via the kindness of two loving hearts who donated the funds) for a seven-passenger car for DMI.  This is an incredible blessing because Pranjal typically spends several hours per week on the road, traveling to and from each village on his motorcycle. With a car he is now able to involve and transport more of his team for ministry, travel more quickly, and allow all of them more time with their families. Thank you Lord!

  • January was also a month for Pranjal and Vini to talk about their marriage.  As a result, they renewed their marriage vows and committed to devote more time to their marriage and family. They are also being more intentional about spending their afternoon time in the Word of God and praying together in Spirit and Truth.  They are also involving Bobby and Joshua in their time of praise and worship.

  • Although the government still does not allow large gatherings DMI was able to have two smaller fellowship gatherings.  They also spent three days in prayer and in Bible Study.

In our last Zoom meeting, Pranjal reported that there is a large group of five-hundred nomads who live in tents. Only one person in that tribe is able read, so he reads the Bible to the rest of the tribe.  A person in that tribe became unconscious for three hours, so they called Pranjal.  He had a conference call and taught them how to pray, saying that whoever believes in Jesus will have signs following the Word.  Their faith increased and they prayed for the person who eventually regained consciousness. This person said that while he was unconscious, he saw Jesus standing beside him.

New Believers from a tribal community started up a marathon three-day prayer and worship session where the presence of God was overwhelming.  Several Covid patients who were healed stood up to give their testimonies.  Believers in these tribes began sharing their faith with their families so the Word is getting out in the community.  As a result, non-believers have started to attend the prayer and worship meetings!

Please pray for the persecuted in India as the radical party is tightening its grip on the Christian community. Pranjal was recently having lunch in a restaurant with a fellow disciple. Someone overheard them discussing things of the Kingdom and a small group formed outside saying things in a tribal language Pranjal didn’t understand.  He was then told by his friend that they needed to leave immediately.  Thankfully they did get away, but they now have to be more careful about all that they say and do.  Pranjal said where he lives is safe, but the tribal disciples have been experiencing more persecution.
