During our recent Zoom conference Pranjalʻs eyes continually welled up with tears of joy as he reported how he and the DMI team have continued to see the miracle of Godʻs work in their midst. An old friend called and asked Pranjal for help. As a former alcoholic his eyes had begun to open up spiritually. Pranjal described him as a Believer, but not yet a follower. This friend, who has a heart for Covid victims, asked Pranjal if he could help him create a ministry for those families devastated by the pandemic. With just a pocket full of seed money this man managed to bless his community in amazing ways. Pranjal believes that God is using this effort to further open his eyes for Jesus.
Pranjalʻs aunt, who lives in a coastal area, barely survived a cyclone. She sat alone, stranded in her home for a few days with no one to help her. Eventually, Pranjal and his mother were able to contact a neighbor near his aunt who was able to help her out. Pranjal and his mother were able to contact her via a conference call where she said that she was stricken with fatique and other maladies because of the trauma. Pranjal gave her the message of the Gospel over the phone, and she received Christ immediately because she said that while she lay unconscious in her home she saw a vision of Jesus. Pranjalʻs aunt called again later to tell him that, though her body was still ill, she felt the presence of Jesus, is trusting in His name, and has no more fear!
Pranjal is witnessing the abounding faith of his DMI team–even despite how harsh Indian authorities are closing in on their people. Recently, because people were exposing the corruption on Twitter, India is no longer allowing the app to be downloaded. The authorities are also telling people that they are advised not to post photos that might not reflect well on the Indian government.
